Cats of Philosophii's Rescue Cat Support Activities

At Cats of Philosophii, we envision a future where cats can live happily, and we support rescue cat activities in two ways:

① Continuous Monthly Donations as a Sakura Neko Supporter

Since August 2024, Philosophii Co., Ltd. has been active as a "Sakura Neko Supporter" for the Public Interest Incorporated Foundation Doubutsu Kikin.

We continuously donate 22,222 yen each month to the "Sakura Neko Free Spay/Neuter Surgery Program", supporting TNR activities.

② Rescue Cat Charity Series

Furthermore, for our Rescue Cat Charity Series, we donate 10% of the purchase price to rescue cat organizations.

This initiative directly supports rescue cats when you purchase our products.

What kind of cats are "Sakura Neko" 🤔?

"Sakura Neko" refers to community cats that have undergone spay/neuter surgery.

They are called "Sakura Neko" because a small part of their ear tip is cut into the shape of a cherry blossom petal to mark that they have been spayed or neutered🌸

This ear tip cut is also called "sakura ear" and is not for aesthetic purposes, but a crucial sign indicating that the surgery has been completed.

Generally,

🐈 Cats with a cut on their left ear ... Female (spayed)

This ear tip cut is not for aesthetic purposes; it serves the important roles of:

Making it immediately clear that the surgery has been completed.
Preventing the same cat from being captured multiple times.

What is the "Sakura Neko Free Spay/Neuter Surgery Program" 🏥?

This program is run by the Public Interest Incorporated Foundation Doubutsu Kikin and supports the costs of spay/neuter surgeries for unowned cats.

This activity aims to promote an initiative called TNR activity.

What is TNR?

T (Trap): Safely capture the cat
N (Neuter): Perform spay/neuter surgery
R (Return): Return the cat to its original location

Instead of eliminating cats, this activity aims to create an environment where people and cats can coexist, with cats being cared for in the community.

Why are spay/neuter surgeries necessary?

Cats have a very high reproductive rate, and their numbers can increase rapidly in a short period.
