A new long wallet is joining the Cats of Philosophii collection! 🐈✨

Its name is "Meowvel ZIP".

The Meowvel ZIP is a cat-themed version of the popular L-shaped long wallet "Nouvel ZIP" sold by Philosophii.

The Nouvel ZIP is a long wallet that our CEO designed from the ground up.

"I want a long wallet that can hold a lot, but I want it to be as thin as possible."

With user-friendliness in mind, it was designed with attention to every detail.

This time, while inheriting the charm of the Nouvel ZIP, we've added feline touches befitting Cats of Philosophii. 😽🐾

Approximately 13mm thin! Amazingly slim

A major feature of the Meowvel ZIP is its thinness of approximately 13mm.

L-shaped long wallets are appealing for their ease of use, allowing you to store bills, cards, and coins together, but they tend to become thick when designed for high storage capacity.

The Meowvel ZIP is designed to be slim while incorporating necessary functions, by carefully considering storage methods and component placement.

Inside, it features:

・Two bill compartments
・A wide-opening coin purse
・Card pockets
・A dedicated pocket for frequently used cards
・A convenient back pocket

We've packed all the essential functions you'd want in an everyday wallet.

This wallet is also recommended for those who love long wallets but want to carry them as thinly as possible. ✨

The secret to its thinness is the "YKK Excella No. 2 zipper"

To achieve a slim finish, we paid close attention to the zipper.

We use the YKK Excella No. 2 zipper.

This is a fine-toothed zipper with small metal parts and a small slider, which is not commonly used in wallets.

Because the metal parts and slider are small, it prevents snagging even when the wallet is made thin, allowing for smooth opening and closing.

Its sleek appearance also contributes to a clean and beautiful design.

Actually, there's a reason for the placement of storage compartments

The Meowvel ZIP isn't just made thin for the sake of it.

Take the coin purse, for example.

In a typical L-shaped zipper wallet, the sides of the coin purse are sometimes sewn and fixed together with the gusset.

In the Nouvel ZIP, the coin purse is structured to be fixed to the main body at the bottom, rather than with the gusset.

This also leads to a compact design that is just the right size for bills, and it's also why the coin purse can open wide.

Furthermore, to make the coin purse easier to use, cards are designed to be stored horizontally rather than vertically.

The back pocket, the gusset without stitching, and the bill compartment – each structure may seem independent, but they are all interconnected.

If even one part were changed, it would be difficult to achieve the same thinness and ease of use.

This L-shaped long wallet was born from the accumulation of such detailed designs.

Cats are hidden in the Meowvel ZIP 🐈

While retaining the user-friendliness of the Nouvel ZIP, we've added charming feline touches unique to Cats of Philosophii to the Meowvel ZIP. 😽💕

First, on the back, there's a cat silhouette.

A cat is subtly hidden within the simple design. 🐈

And on the zipper, there's a cat-motif pull tab.

Furthermore, when you open the wallet, the card pockets have a paw print embossed on them. 🐾

It looks sleek and elegant from the outside.

But if you look closely, there are cats both inside and out.

We've packed in the playful spirit of Cats of Philosophii while maintaining a design that adults can comfortably carry. ✨

Introducing the new color "Guimauve" 💜

The Meowvel ZIP's debut color is "Guimauve" in Taurillon Clemence leather.

This lavender color is slightly brighter and softer than the "Lavender" color in Cuir Mache that we usually use for Cats of Philosophii. 💜

Many of you might be wondering, "How different are Lavender and Guimauve in person?"
