"Nouvelle," which means "new" in French.

This long wallet was designed from scratch to set a new standard for Philosophii long wallets.

The "Nouvelle" small leather flap long wallet was born to be a compact wallet that fits into small bags and meets the needs of the modern cashless lifestyle.

Minimal and Luxurious

Though small and understated in design, it is a wallet with a solid, undeniable presence.

The "Nouvelle" is not just a shrunken version of a long wallet.

We aimed to create a wallet that lifts your spirits with high-quality leather and careful tailoring, ensuring that while removing excess size and design, you can still feel the warmth and luxury of the leather in your palm.

To bring out the appeal of the soft domestic shrink leather "Cuir Mash," the main body of the wallet is crafted from a single, seamless piece of leather.

Please pick it up and feel the luxurious texture of the leather for yourself.

Ultimate Compactness

At approximately 164mm wide by 85mm high, it is roughly the same size as a 10,000-yen bill (160mm x 76mm), making it the minimum viable size for a long wallet.

It is even more compact than a standard long wallet (approx. 200mm wide) or our "Fleur" compact long wallet (175mm wide).

It is the perfect wallet for those who want to use a long wallet but carry a small bag.

The thickness is only about 20mm, even when filled.

It is designed to remain slim even with high storage capacity.

Front pocket for frequently used cards

We have added a pocket on the front that holds 1–2 cards.

When the snap is closed, the card is hidden from view and will not fall out.

By keeping a card in the front pocket, you also reinforce the wallet's opening—the part handled most frequently—which helps prevent the leather from wearing out over time.

Convenient back pocket

There is a large pocket on the outer back side.

This is extremely convenient for temporarily storing receipts or tickets.

Because the back pocket is made from the same single piece of leather as the body, it keeps the profile thin for a smart, discreet look.

Two separate bill compartments

Responding to the frequent requests we've received for "two separate compartments for bills," we have incorporated this feature.

With bill slots located both in front of and behind the coin pocket, you can flexibly organize your bills or separate cash from receipts.

Plenty of room for cards

Cards are stored in the back interior compartment.

You can stack multiple cards in the two interior card pockets.

By storing them as a group rather than in individual slots, we have reduced the number of leather parts, achieving a slimmer and lighter design.

The card pockets are generously sized, so they won't feel cramped even if you add more cards.

While some wallets may show card impressions on the exterior, the "Nouvelle" provides extra space in the card area and is further protected by the flap and back pocket layers, ensuring card marks are less likely to show through on the front.

Room for plenty of coins

Though the "Nouvelle" is thin when closed, the gussets on both sides open wide when the snap is released, providing great visibility of the central coin compartment.

Because it uses the full width of the wallet, it is easy to reach into, and coin visibility is excellent.

The design allows coins to spread out, so even if you have a lot of change, the wallet doesn't feel bulky.

Made using genuine Japanese cowhide, each item is handcrafted by artisans in Japan.

The interior is also fully lined with genuine leather, meaning no issues with fuzziness or inner lining deterioration over time.
