"Nouvelle," which means "new" in French.

This long wallet was designed from scratch to set a new standard for Philosophii long wallets.

The "Nouvelle" small leather flap long wallet was born to serve as a compact wallet that fits into small bags and adapts to the cashless trend.

Minimalist and Luxurious

Though small and modest in design, this wallet has a distinct presence.

"Nouvelle" is not just a smaller version of a long wallet.

While trimming away unnecessary size and design elements, we aimed for a wallet that lifts your spirits through quality leather and meticulous craftsmanship, ensuring you feel the warmth and luxury of the leather in your palm.

To bring out the appeal of the soft domestic shrink leather "Cuir Mache," the main body of the wallet is crafted from a single, seamless piece of leather with a plush feel.

Ultimate Compactness

At approximately the same size (164mm wide x 85mm high) as a 10,000 yen note (160mm wide x 76mm high), it is the minimal size possible for a long wallet.

It is even more compact than standard long wallets (about 200mm wide) or our compact "Fleur Long" wallet (175mm wide).

This is the perfect wallet for those who want to use a long wallet while carrying a small bag.

The thickness is only about 20mm, even when filled.

It is designed to stay slim even with high storage capacity.

Keep frequently used cards in the front pocket

We have added a pocket on the front that holds 1 to 2 cards.

When the snap is closed, the card is hidden from view and will not fall out.

By keeping a card in the front pocket, it also reinforces the opening of the wallet's front—the area touched most frequently by your fingers—which helps prevent the leather from deteriorating.

Convenient back pocket

We have added a large pocket to the outer back.

It is very convenient for temporarily storing receipts, tickets, etc.

Because the back pocket is made from a single piece of leather connected to the main body, the bulk is kept to a minimum, resulting in a smart, understated appearance.

Two separate bill compartments

In response to the many requests we’ve received for a wallet where you can separate your bills into two sections, we have made it happen.

With bill compartments located both in front of and behind the coin pouch, you can use them flexibly—such as separating bills, or keeping bills and receipts apart.

Peace of mind even with many cards

Cards are stored toward the back inside.

You can store multiple cards in the two card slots.

By choosing to group cards together rather than individual slots, we reduced the number of leather parts, achieving a slimmer and lighter design.

The card pockets are generously sized, so they won’t feel tight even if the number of cards increases.

While some wallets allow the impression of cards to show through on the front, the "Nouvelle" has ample space in the card section, and with the flap and back pocket behind the card area, the structure is designed to prevent card imprints from appearing on the exterior.

No worries about loose change

Although the "Nouvelle" is thin when closed, when you open the snap, the gussets on both sides open wide, making the central coin space easy to see.

Since it is a wide coin space that utilizes the full width, it is easy to insert your hand, and visibility is excellent.

Even as coins accumulate, they disperse within the space, so you won't have to worry about thickness regardless of how many coins you carry.

Reliable quality

Using genuine Japanese cowhide, each item is crafted one by one by artisans in Japan.

The interior is also entirely genuine leather, ensuring no fraying of the backing or degradation over time.
