"Nouvelle," meaning "new" in French.

This long wallet was designed from scratch to set a new standard for Philosophii long wallets.

The compact leather flap long wallet "Nouvelle" was born as a compact wallet that fits into small bags and meets the trend of a cashless lifestyle.

Minimalist and Luxurious

Though small and discreet in design, this wallet has a truly solid presence.

"Nouvelle" is not just a shrunk-down version of a standard long wallet.

While stripping away unnecessary size and design, we aimed for a wallet that boosts your spirits through high-quality leather and careful craftsmanship, allowing you to feel the warmth and luxury of leather in your palm.

To bring out the appeal of the soft domestic shrink leather "Cuir Mache," the body of the wallet is crafted plumply from a single piece of leather without seams.

Please pick it up and feel the luxurious texture of the leather for yourself.

Ultimate Compactness

At approximately the same size as a 10,000 yen bill (160mm wide x 76mm high), it measures 164mm wide x 85mm high, making it the minimum size for a long wallet.

It is even more compact than typical long wallets (approx. 200mm wide) and our compact long wallet, the Fleur Long (175mm wide).

It is the perfect wallet for those who carry small bags but still want to use a long wallet.

Its thickness is only about 20mm, even when filled.

It is designed not to bulge even with a large capacity.

Keep frequently used cards in the front pocket

We added a pocket to the front that can hold 1–2 cards.

When the snap is closed, the card is hidden from view and will not fall out.

Storing a card in the front pocket also reinforces the wallet's entrance—the area most frequently touched by fingers—helping to prevent the leather from deteriorating.

Convenient back pocket

A large pocket has been added to the outer back.

It is very convenient for temporarily storing receipts or tickets.

Because the back pocket is connected to the main body with a single piece of leather, the thickness is kept minimal, maintaining a subtle and smart appearance.

Bills can be stored in two separate sections

We have fulfilled the frequent request we've received from many custom orders to "be able to store bills in two separate sections."

Since there are bill compartments both in front of and behind the coin purse, you can use it flexibly, such as by separating bills or keeping bills and receipts apart.

No worries even with many cards

Cards are stored in the back interior.

Multiple cards can be stacked in two card pockets.

By opting for a design that stores cards together rather than individually, we reduced the number of leather parts, achieving a thinner and lighter construction.

The card pockets are designed with extra width so they won't feel cramped as the number of cards increases.

Some wallets may show card impressions on the outside, but "Nouvelle" has a spacious card area, and because there is a flap and a back pocket behind the card space, the structure makes it difficult for card imprints to appear on the surface.

Handles lots of loose change

While the "Nouvelle" is thin when closed, opening the snap reveals large gussets on both sides, making the central coin space easy to see.

With a wide coin space that utilizes the entire width, it is easy to insert your hand, and the visibility of your coins is excellent.

Even as coins accumulate, they are dispersed within the space, so the thickness won't bother you even if you have a lot of change.

Safe and reliable quality

Made using Japanese genuine leather (cowhide) and produced one by one by craftsmen in Japan.

The interior is also entirely genuine leather, so there is no peeling or aging of the lining material.

Because we produce it in-house, we can respond quickly to after-care requests, such as hardware repairs.

This is a wallet you can use with peace of mind for a long time.
