"Nouvelle," which means "new" in French.

This long wallet was designed from scratch to set a new standard for Philosophii long wallets.

The "Nouvelle" compact leather flap long wallet was born to serve as a compact wallet that fits into small bags and keeps pace with the trend toward a cashless lifestyle.

Minimalist and Luxurious

Though it features a small and understated design, this wallet holds a strong presence.

The "Nouvelle" is not just a downsized version of a long wallet.

While stripping away unnecessary size and design, we aimed to create a wallet that uplifts your mood through high-quality leather and meticulous craftsmanship, ensuring you feel the warmth and luxury of leather in your palm.

To highlight the charm of the soft, domestic shrink leather "Cuir Mache," the body of the wallet is crafted from a single, seamless piece of leather with a plush finish.

We invite you to pick it up and experience the luxurious texture of the leather for yourself.

Ultimate Compactness

With dimensions (164mm wide x 85mm high) nearly identical to a 10,000 yen bill (160mm wide x 76mm high), it is the minimal size possible for a long wallet.

It is even more compact than a standard long wallet (approx. 200mm wide) or our compact "Fleur Long" wallet (175mm wide).

It is the perfect wallet for those who want to use a long wallet but carry a small bag.

Even when filled, the thickness is only about 20mm.

It is designed to remain slim even with high capacity.

Front pocket for frequently used cards

We have added a pocket on the front that holds 1–2 cards.

When the snap is closed, the card is hidden from view and secured from falling out.

By keeping a card in the front pocket, you also reinforce the wallet's opening, which is the area handled most frequently by your fingers, helping to protect the leather from wear.

Convenient back pocket

There is a large pocket on the outside back.

It is very convenient for temporarily storing receipts or tickets.

Since the back pocket is made from a single continuous piece of leather with the wallet body, it maintains a low profile, keeping the exterior look smart and unobtrusive.

Two separate compartments for bills

We have realized a frequently requested feature from many of our previous custom orders: "I want to separate my bills into two compartments."

With bill slots both in front of and behind the coin pouch, you can flexibly store bills separately or keep bills and receipts in distinct sections.

Rest easy even with many cards

p>Cards are stored in the inner compartment toward the back.

You can stack multiple cards in two card slots.

By opting for bulk storage rather than individual card slots, we have reduced the number of leather parts, achieving a thinner and lighter design.

The card pockets are generously sized, so they won't feel tight even if the number of cards increases.

In some wallets, card imprints can show through on the front, but the "Nouvelle" has a spacious card area, and with the flap and back pocket positioned behind the card space, the structure is designed to prevent card ridges from showing on the front.

Plenty of room for loose change

Although the "Nouvelle" is slim when closed, when the snap is opened, the side gussets expand wide, making the central coin space easy to see.

Because the coin space utilizes the full width, it is easy to reach inside and provides excellent visibility.

Even as the amount of change increases, it spreads out within the compartment, so the thickness remains unobtrusive even with a lot of coins.

Safe and reliable quality

We use genuine Japanese leather (cowhide), and every piece is handcrafted in Japan by our artisans.

The interior is also made entirely of genuine leather, so you won't have to worry about the fraying of backing materials or degradation of inner components over time.

Because we handle our own production, we can respond quickly to aftercare needs, such as hardware repairs.
