"Nouvelle," which means "new" in French.

This long wallet was designed from scratch to set a new standard for Philosophii long wallets.

The small leather flap long wallet "Nouvelle" was created as a compact wallet that fits into small bags and meets the modern trend toward a cashless lifestyle.

Minimalist and Luxurious

Although it is small and understated in design, it is a wallet with a solid, sophisticated presence.

The "Nouvelle" is not just a downsized long wallet.

While stripping away unnecessary size and design, we aimed to create a wallet that lifts your spirits through high-quality leather and meticulous tailoring, ensuring you feel the warmth and luxury of the leather in your palm.

To bring out the appeal of the soft domestic shrink leather "Cuir Mache," the main body of the wallet is crafted from a single seamless piece of leather with a plump finish.

Please pick it up and feel the luxurious texture of the leather for yourself.

The Ultimate in Compactness

With dimensions of 164mm (width) x 85mm (height), it is almost identical in size to a 10,000 yen note (160mm x 76mm), making it the minimum possible size for a long wallet.

It is even more compact than typical long wallets (approx. 200mm wide) or our compact "Fleur Long" wallet (175mm wide).

It is the perfect wallet for those who want to use a long wallet but carry smaller bags.

Even when filled, it is only about 20mm thick.

It is designed to prevent it from bulging even with a high capacity.

Front Pocket for Frequently Used Cards

We have added a pocket on the front that holds one or two cards.

When the snap is closed, the card is not visible from the outside and will not fall out.

Storing a card in the front pocket also reinforces the wallet's opening—the part touched by your fingers most frequently—which helps prevent the leather from deteriorating over time.

Convenient Back Pocket

There is a large pocket on the outer back side.

It is very convenient for temporarily storing receipts or tickets.

Because the back pocket is connected to the main body with a single piece of leather, it stays slim and maintains a smart, unobtrusive appearance.

Two Separate Bill Compartments

We have fulfilled the frequent request from our customers to "have two separate sections for bills."

Since there are bill compartments both in front of and behind the coin pocket, you can use them flexibly, such as by separating your bills or storing bills and receipts separately.

Plenty of Room for Cards

Cards are stored in the back of the interior.

Multiple cards can be stacked in two card slots.

By opting for consolidated storage rather than individual slots, we reduced the number of leather parts, achieving a slimmer and lighter design.

The card slots are generously sized, so they won't feel tight even if you increase the number of cards.

While some wallets may show card indentations on the surface, the "Nouvelle" is designed with enough room in the card space, and with the flap and back pocket behind the card storage area, it is structured to keep card marks from appearing on the front.

Generous Coin Storage

While the "Nouvelle" is thin when closed, once you open the snap, the gussets on both sides open wide, making the central coin space easy to see.

Because the coin space utilizes the entire width of the wallet, it is easy to reach into, and coin visibility is excellent.

Even if you carry many coins, they distribute across the space, so the wallet does not feel bulky.

Safe and Reliable Quality

We use genuine Japanese leather (cowhide) and produce each item by hand in Japan.

The interior is also made entirely of genuine leather, so there is no concern about peeling or degradation of the lining over time.

Because we handle our own production, we can provide prompt after-care, such as repairs for metal hardware.
