The "Nouvelle" series, meaning "new" in French.

This long wallet was newly designed from scratch to become the new standard for Philosophy's long wallets.

It's a compact wallet that fits in small bags and accommodates a cashless lifestyle.

The small zippered long wallet "Nouvelle ZIP" achieves the smallest and thinnest profile in its class for a zippered long wallet.

Amazingly small and thin

While "Nouvelle ZIP" is among the smallest of zippered wallets, it is even thinner than the small leather flap long wallet "Nouvelle" (approx. 20mm thick), achieving an overwhelmingly compact 13mm thickness.

Once you use it, you won't want to go back to large, heavy long wallets; it's a mini long wallet that changes your lifestyle.

At 165mm wide x 83mm high, it is almost the same size as a 10,000 yen bill (160mm wide x 76mm high), making it the minimum size for a zippered long wallet.

Minimalist and Luxurious

Small wallets can often look cheap. If thin leather is used or lining is omitted to cut costs in the pursuit of miniaturization and weight reduction, the wallet can feel inexpensive.

"Nouvelle ZIP" is crafted with a luxurious finish by combining high-quality Japanese leather with Philosophy's years of accumulated manufacturing expertise in bespoke leather products.

While using soft shrink leather that fits comfortably in the hand as the main material, it is reinforced with appropriate interlinings to prevent deformation even with long-term use, and the interior uses crisp embossed leather.

Though small, this wallet allows you to experience the superior texture and exquisite craftsmanship of genuine leather.

Convenient Back Pocket

A large pocket has been added to the outer back.

The pocket is 150mm wide, making it very convenient for temporarily storing receipts or tickets.

The back pocket is seamlessly connected to the wallet body, which keeps it thin and gives it a discreet and smart appearance.

Bills can be separated into two compartments

Through countless wallet orders, we often received requests to "separate bills into two places." We've achieved this and miniaturized the wallet through our unique structure.

With two bill compartments, one in front of and one behind the coin purse, you can flexibly use it to separate bills, or bills and receipts.

The seamless gusset is a design inherited from Philosophy's long-selling Fleur wallet.

The absence of seams in the gusset allows bills to fully extend to the back, enabling the wallet's compact size.

The partition between bills and coins is not fixed and moves freely, allowing bills to fit snugly even if the number increases.

The secret to a zipper that doesn't snag bills

When using a small zippered wallet, the biggest concern is whether the zipper will damage bills.

The "Nouvelle ZIP" adopts the rare [YKK Excella No. 2 zipper] for wallets to balance wallet miniaturization and ease of zipper use.

Compared to zippers commonly used in long wallets (No. 3 or No. 5 zippers), No. 2 zippers have narrower metal teeth and smaller sliders, making them less likely to snag bills.

Additionally, the narrow width of the metal teeth enables an overwhelmingly thin profile of 11mm for the main body and 13mm including the back pocket.

The size of the wallet body was adjusted in 1mm increments while repeatedly checking usability.

Easy access to important cards

When you open the zipper, you'll find a dedicated "VIP card" pocket prominently placed in front of the coin purse.

This pocket holds 2-3 cards.

Store your frequently used "VIP cards" in this VIP spot.

There are two card pockets deep inside, each capable of holding about 3 cards stacked, for a total of approximately 6 cards.

The card pockets have extra width, so they can also store cards slightly larger than credit cards.

Less card imprinting with age

There are no card pockets on the front of the main body.

This prevents card and coin imprints from showing on the exterior, ensuring the leather maintains its shape even after prolonged use.

Amazingly Easy-to-Use Coin Purse

Open the zipper to reveal a large, wide-opening coin purse area.

Not only coins, but also bills and cards are immediately visible.

Overwhelmingly large capacity. It's perfectly fine to put this much change in (though it will get heavy).

Although the coin purse does not have a zipper, rest assured that it is designed to prevent coins from spilling into other compartments when the outer zipper is closed.
