The "Nouvelle" series, meaning "new" in French.

This long wallet was designed from scratch to create a new standard for Philosophia's long wallets.

It's a compact wallet that fits into small bags and is suitable for a cashless lifestyle.

The small zippered long wallet "Nouvelle ZIP" achieves the smallest and thinnest dimensions for a zippered long wallet.

Amazingly small and thin

The "Nouvelle ZIP" is not only one of the smallest zippered wallets, but it's also even thinner than the small leather flap long wallet "Nouvelle" (approx. 20mm thick), achieving an overwhelming compactness at just 13mm thick.

Once you use it, you won't be able to go back to large, heavy long wallets. This mini long wallet will change your lifestyle.

It's almost the same size as a 10,000-yen bill (160mm wide x 76mm high), measuring 165mm wide x 83mm high, making it the smallest possible size for a zippered long wallet.

Minimalist and Luxurious

Small wallets often tend to look cheap. When prioritizing miniaturization and lightness, using thin leather or omitting lining to cut costs can result in a wallet that looks inexpensive.

The "Nouvelle ZIP" is made with high-quality Japanese leather and crafted with the sophisticated techniques for bespoke leather products that Philosophia has cultivated over many years, resulting in a luxurious finish.

While using soft shrink leather that feels good in the hand as the main material, it is reinforced with appropriate interlining to prevent it from losing its shape over time, and the interior uses firm embossed leather.

Though small, it is a wallet where you can feel the high quality of genuine leather and excellent craftsmanship.

Convenient Back Pocket

A large pocket is attached to the outside back.

The pocket is 150mm wide, making it very convenient for temporarily storing receipts, tickets, etc.

The back pocket is seamlessly connected to the wallet body, which keeps it thin and gives it a sleek, discreet appearance.

Bills can be separated into two places

Among the many wallet orders we've received, a common request was to "separate bills into two places." We have achieved both this desire and wallet miniaturization with our unique structure.

There are two bill compartments, one in front of the coin purse and one behind, allowing for flexible use such as separating bills or separating bills from receipts.

The seamless gusset design inherits the long-selling Philosophia wallet "Fleur".

The absence of seams in the gusset allows bills to fit deeply, achieving a compact wallet size.

The partition between bills and coins is not fixed and moves freely, allowing bills to fit securely even when the number of bills increases.

The secret of the zipper that doesn't catch bills

When using a small zippered wallet, the biggest concern is whether the zipper will damage bills.

To achieve both a compact wallet body and easy zipper use, the "Nouvelle ZIP" features a rare [YKK Excella No. 2 zipper].

The No. 2 zipper has a narrower metal width and a smaller slider size compared to zippers commonly used in standard long wallets (No. 3 or No. 5 zippers), making it less likely to catch bills.

Furthermore, the narrower metal width allows for an overwhelmingly thin body of 11mm, or 13mm including the back pocket.

The size of the wallet body was adjusted down to the millimeter after repeated checks for usability.

Easy access to important cards

When the zipper is opened, there's a dedicated "VIP card" pocket prominently located in front of the coin purse.

This pocket can hold 2-3 cards.

Keep your frequently used "VIP cards" in this VIP spot.

There are two card pockets in the inner back, each capable of holding about 3 cards stacked, for a total of approximately 6 cards.

The card pockets have ample width, so they can also store cards slightly larger than credit cards.

Less likely to show card marks with age

There are no card pockets on the front of the main body.

This prevents card and coin impressions from showing on the surface, so the leather won't deform even after long-term use.
