A compact wallet designed to fit into small bags and cater to the cashless lifestyle.

The small zippered long wallet, "Nouvelle ZIP," achieves one of the smallest and thinnest profiles possible for a zip-around long wallet.

Surprisingly small and thin

While being among the smallest in the zipper-type category, the "Nouvelle ZIP" achieves an overwhelmingly compact thickness of just 13mm—even thinner than our small leather flap long wallet, "Nouvelle" (approx. 20mm thick).

Once you use it, you won't want to go back to large, heavy wallets. It’s a mini long wallet that will change your lifestyle.

At 165mm wide by 83mm high, it is almost the same size as a 10,000-yen note (160mm x 76mm), making it the absolute minimum size for a zip-around long wallet.

Minimalist and luxurious

Small wallets can often look cheap. When brands focus too much on miniaturization and weight reduction, they often use thin leather or omit linings to cut costs, resulting in a low-quality feel.

The "Nouvelle ZIP" features high-quality Japanese leather and incorporates the bespoke manufacturing techniques that Philosophy has cultivated over many years to achieve a luxurious finish.

While using soft, supple shrink leather for the main body, we reinforced it with appropriate core materials to ensure it maintains its shape, and used firm embossed leather for the interior.

Though small, it is a wallet where you can truly feel the quality of genuine leather and fine craftsmanship.

Convenient back pocket

We have added a large pocket to the outer back side.

The pocket is 150mm wide, making it very convenient for temporarily storing receipts or tickets.

Since the back pocket is seamlessly integrated into the wallet, it remains low-profile, maintaining a sleek and discreet appearance.

Two-compartment banknote storage

In response to the frequent request to "store banknotes in two separate sections" we received from our custom orders, we have balanced this feature with a compact size through our unique structure.

With banknote slots on both the front and back of the coin compartment, you can flexibly organize your cash, such as separating banknotes or storing banknotes and receipts separately.

The seamless gusset design inherits the concept from Philosophy's best-selling wallet, the "Fleur."

By eliminating seams on the gusset, banknotes can be inserted fully to the bottom, allowing for a more compact design.

The divider between the banknotes and coins is not fixed, allowing it to move freely so that banknotes fit neatly even as their quantity increases.

The secret to a zipper that doesn't catch on banknotes

The biggest concern when using a small zippered wallet is whether the zipper will damage your banknotes.

To achieve both a compact size and ease of use, the "Nouvelle ZIP" utilizes the YKK Excella No. 2 zipper, which is rare in wallets.

The No. 2 zipper has a narrower width and a smaller slider size compared to the zippers typically used in standard long wallets (No. 3 or No. 5), making it much less likely to catch on banknotes.

Furthermore, its narrow width allows us to achieve an overwhelming thinness: 11mm for the main body, and 13mm including the back pocket.

The size of the wallet was fine-tuned down to the millimeter while repeatedly verifying its usability.

Easy access to your important cards

We have added a dedicated pocket for your most important "VIP cards" in a prominent location right after opening the zipper, at the front of the coin compartment.

This pocket holds 2 to 3 cards.

Keep your frequently used "VIP cards" in this VIP seat.

There are two card pockets on the inner back side, each capable of holding about 3 cards, for a total storage capacity of around 6 cards.

The card pockets are designed with enough width to accommodate cards that are slightly larger than standard credit cards.

Resistant to card imprints over time

There are no card pockets on the front of the main body.

This prevents the outline of cards or coins from showing through, ensuring the leather doesn't deform even after long-term use.

Extremely easy-to-use coin compartment

Opening the zipper reveals a high-capacity coin compartment that opens wide.

Not only coins, but banknotes and cards are clearly visible at a glance.

It has an overwhelming capacity. You can fit this many coins (though it will get heavy) without any issues.

Although there is no zipper on the coin compartment itself, it is designed so that coins will not spill into other spaces while the outer zipper is closed, so please rest assured.

Made from genuine Japanese cowhide, each piece is handcrafted by artisans in Japan.

The interior is also entirely made of genuine leather, preventing issues like shedding or interior degradation over time.

Because we manufacture in-house, we can provide prompt after-care, such as repairs for hardware.
