The "Nouvelle" series, meaning "new" in French.

This is a long wallet designed from scratch to create a new standard for long wallets at Philosophie.

It is a compact wallet that fits in small bags and is compatible with the trend towards cashless payments.

The small zippered long wallet "Nouvelle ZIP" achieves the smallest and thinnest size for a zippered long wallet.

Surprisingly small and thin

The "Nouvelle ZIP" is not only one of the smallest zippered long wallets, but it is also even thinner than the small leather flap long wallet "Nouvelle" (approx. 20mm thick), achieving an overwhelmingly compact thickness of 13mm.

Once you use it, you won't be able to go back to large, heavy long wallets; it's a mini long wallet that will change your lifestyle.

With dimensions (width 165mm x height 83mm) almost identical to a 10,000 yen bill (width 160mm x height 76mm), it is the minimum size for a zippered long wallet.

Minimalist and luxurious

Small wallets often tend to look cheap. If you prioritize miniaturization and lightweighting by using thin leather or omitting lining to cut costs, the wallet ends up looking inexpensive.

"Nouvelle ZIP" is made with high-quality Japanese leather and finished with a luxurious feel by incorporating the manufacturing techniques for custom-made leather products that Philosophie has cultivated over many years.

While using soft shrink leather that fits comfortably in the hand as the main material, it is reinforced with appropriate interlining to prevent deformation even after long use, and the interior uses firm embossed leather.

Despite its small size, this wallet allows you to feel the high-quality texture and excellent craftsmanship of genuine leather.

Convenient back pocket

A large pocket has been added to the outside back.

The pocket is 150mm wide, making it very convenient for temporarily storing receipts, tickets, and the like.

Since the back pocket is seamlessly connected to the wallet body, the thickness is kept minimal, resulting in an unobtrusive and smart appearance.

Bills can be separated into two places

We have uniquely reconciled the frequent request received from many wallet orders to "separate bills into two places" with the desire for a smaller wallet.

With bill compartments both in front of and behind the coin purse, you can flexibly use it to separate bills or to separate bills and receipts.

The seamless gusset is a design that inherits the aesthetic of Philosophie's long-selling Fleur wallet.

The absence of seams in the gusset allows bills to fit securely all the way in, enabling the miniaturization of the wallet.

The partition between bills and coins is not fixed and moves freely, so bills can be fully inserted even if the number of bills increases.

The secret to a zipper that doesn't catch bills

When using a small zippered wallet, the biggest concern is whether the zipper will damage bills.

To balance the miniaturization of the wallet body with ease of zipper use, the "Nouvelle ZIP" adopts the rarely seen [YKK Excella No. 2 zipper] for wallets.

Compared to the zippers used in general long wallets (No. 3 or No. 5 zippers), the No. 2 zipper has a narrower metal width and a smaller slider, making it less likely to catch bills.

Furthermore, the narrow metal width allows for an overwhelmingly thin body of 11mm, including the back pocket, reaching 13mm.

The size of the wallet body was adjusted in 1mm increments while repeatedly verifying usability.

Easy access to important cards

When the zipper is opened, there's a dedicated "VIP card" pocket prominently placed in front of the coin purse.

This pocket can hold 2 to 3 cards.

Keep your frequently used "VIP cards" in this VIP spot.

There are two card pockets at the back of the interior, each capable of holding about 3 cards stacked, for a total of approximately 6 cards.

The card pockets have ample width, so you can also store cards that are slightly larger than credit cards.

Less likely to show card marks with age

There are no card pockets on the front of the main body.

This prevents card and coin marks from showing through to the exterior, ensuring the leather doesn't deform even after long use.

Amazingly easy-to-use coin purse

When the zipper is opened, a large-capacity coin purse space opens wide.

Although the coin purse does not have a zipper, it is designed to prevent coins from leaking into other compartments when the outer zipper is closed, so please rest assured.
