The "Nouvelle" series, meaning "new" in French.

This long wallet was designed from scratch to create a new standard long wallet for Filosofi.

It's a compact wallet that fits even in small bags and is compatible with the cashless trend.

The small zippered long wallet "Nouvelle ZIP" achieves one of the smallest and thinnest forms for a zippered long wallet.

Surprisingly small and thin

The "Nouvelle ZIP" is one of the smallest zippered wallets, yet it is even thinner than the small leather flap long wallet "Nouvelle" (approx. 20mm thick), achieving an overwhelmingly compact thickness of 13mm.

Once you use it, you won't want to go back to large, heavy long wallets; it's a mini long wallet that will change your lifestyle.

With dimensions (width 165mm x height 83mm) almost identical to a 10,000-yen bill (width 160mm x height 76mm), it is the minimum size for a zippered long wallet.

Minimalist and Luxurious

Small wallets often tend to look cheap. When prioritizing miniaturization and weight reduction, using thin leather or omitting lining to cut costs can result in a wallet that feels inexpensive.

The "Nouvelle ZIP" is crafted with a luxurious finish by using high-quality Japanese leather and Filosofi's years of expertise in bespoke leather product manufacturing.

While using soft shrink leather that feels comfortable in the hand as the main material, it is reinforced with appropriate interlining to prevent deformation even after long-term use, and the interior uses firm embossed leather.

Though small, it is a wallet where you can feel the quality texture of genuine leather and the excellence of its craftsmanship.

Convenient back pocket

A large pocket is attached to the outer back.

The pocket is 150mm wide and is very convenient for temporarily storing receipts, tickets, and so on.

The back pocket is seamlessly connected to the wallet body, keeping it thin and providing a neat, smart appearance.

Bills can be separated into two places.

Through a unique structure, we have achieved both the miniaturization of the wallet and the common request "I want to separate bills into two places," which we often received when taking many wallet orders.

There are two bill compartments, one in front of and one behind the coin purse, allowing for flexible use, such as separating bills or separating bills from receipts.

The seamless gusset design is inherited from Filosofi's long-selling wallet "Fleur."

Having no seams in the gusset allows bills to be inserted all the way in, enabling the wallet's compact size.

The partition between bills and coins is not fixed and moves freely, allowing bills to fit securely even when the number of bills increases.

The secret to a zipper that doesn't snag bills

When using a small zippered wallet, the biggest concern is whether the zipper will damage bills.

To achieve both a compact wallet body and ease of use for the zipper, "Nouvelle ZIP" uses the rare "YKK Excella No. 2 zipper" for wallets.

Compared to the zippers used in general long wallets (No. 3 or No. 5 zippers), No. 2 zippers have a narrower metal width and smaller slider size, making them less likely to snag bills.

Furthermore, the narrow metal width allows for an overwhelmingly thin body thickness of 11mm, and 13mm including the back pocket.

The size of the wallet body was adjusted in 1mm increments while repeatedly checking its usability.

Easy access to important cards

When you open the zipper, there's a dedicated "VIP card" pocket in a prominent spot, on the front of the coin purse.

This pocket can hold 2-3 cards.

Let's store frequently used "VIP cards" in this VIP spot.

There are two card pockets deep inside, each capable of holding about 3 cards stacked, for a total of approximately 6 cards.

The card pockets have ample width, so they can also store cards slightly larger than credit cards.

Less card indentation with age

There are no card pockets on the front of the main body.

This prevents card and coin marks from affecting the exterior, ensuring the leather doesn't deform over time.

Amazingly easy-to-use coin purse

When you open the zipper, a large-capacity coin purse space opens wide.

Not only coins, but also bills and cards are visible at a glance.

Overwhelmingly large capacity. Even with this many coins (though it will be heavy), it's no problem.

The coin purse does not have a zipper, but rest assured that it is designed so that coins will not spill into other spaces when the outer zipper is closed.

Each item is handcrafted in Japan by artisans using genuine Japanese leather (cowhide).

Since the entire interior is also made of genuine leather, there is no fluffing on the back or deterioration of the interior over time.
