The "Nouvelle" series, meaning "new" in French.

This long wallet was designed from scratch to set a new standard for Philosophy's long wallets.

It is a compact wallet that fits in small bags and is designed for a cashless lifestyle.

The small zippered long wallet, "Nouvelle ZIP," is one of the smallest and thinnest zippered long wallets available.

Remarkably Small and Thin

Although it is one of the smallest zippered wallets, "Nouvelle ZIP" is also exceptionally thin at 13 mm, even thinner than the small leather flap long wallet "Nouvelle" (approximately 20 mm thick).

Once you use it, you will never want to go back to a large, heavy long wallet. This mini long wallet will change your lifestyle.

It is almost the same size as a 10,000 yen bill (160 mm wide x 76 mm high) and is one of the smallest zippered long wallets available.

Minimalist and Luxurious

Small wallets can often look cheap. If they are made too thin by using thin leather or omitting the lining to reduce costs, they can end up looking low-quality.

"Nouvelle ZIP" is crafted with high-quality Japanese leather and Philosophy's long-established custom leather manufacturing techniques to create a luxurious finish.

It uses soft, comfortable shrink leather as the main material, reinforced with appropriate stiffeners to maintain its shape over long-term use, and features embossed leather for the interior.

Despite its small size, this wallet allows you to feel the premium texture and excellent craftsmanship of genuine leather.

Convenient Back Pocket

The exterior back features a large pocket.

The pocket is 150 mm wide and is very convenient for temporarily storing receipts and tickets.

The back pocket is seamlessly integrated with the wallet, keeping it thin and creating a sleek, unobtrusive appearance.

Two Bill Compartments

Drawing on the common request we have received from many customers who want to keep their bills in two separate places, we have achieved both a smaller wallet and two bill compartments with our unique design.

With bill compartments located in front of and behind the coin compartment, you can flexibly keep bills separate or store bills and receipts separately.

The seamless gusset inherits the design of Philosophy's long-selling wallet, "Fleur."

The seamless gusset allows bills to fit securely all the way to the back, enabling a smaller wallet design.

The divider between bills and coins is not fixed and can move freely, so bills will fit securely all the way to the back even when you carry more of them.

The Secret Behind the Zipper That Won't Bite Bills

When using a small zippered wallet, the biggest concern is whether the zipper will damage the bills.

To achieve both a smaller wallet and an easy-to-use zipper, "Nouvelle ZIP" uses a rare 【YKK Excella No. 2 zipper】 for wallets.

Compared to the zippers commonly used in long wallets (No. 3 or No. 5), the No. 2 zipper has a narrower metal part and a smaller slider, making it less likely to bite bills.

The narrower metal part also allows the wallet to be exceptionally thin, measuring 11 mm thick and 13 mm thick including the back pocket.

The size of the wallet was adjusted in 1 mm increments after repeatedly checking its usability.

Easy Access to Important Cards

A dedicated pocket for important "VIP cards" is located in a prominent position on the front of the coin compartment, where the zipper opens.

This pocket holds 2–3 cards.

Store your frequently used "VIP cards" in this VIP seat.

There are two card pockets deep inside, each holding 3 cards, for a total capacity of approximately 6 cards.

The card pockets are wide enough to accommodate cards slightly larger than credit cards.

Less Likely to Show Card Marks Over Time

There is no card pocket on the front of the wallet.

The front is designed so that the pressure from cards and coins does not show through, allowing the leather to maintain its shape over long-term use.

Exceptionally Easy-to-Use Coin Compartment

When opened, the zipper reveals a large-capacity coin compartment that opens wide.

Not only coins, but bills and cards are also clearly visible.

Although the coin compartment does not have its own zipper, it is designed so that coins will not fall into other compartments when the main zipper is closed, so you can use it with peace of mind.
